Charlotte FC set out to create one of the first fully built-out professional soccer training facilities in the United States, establishing a benchmark for MLS clubs. The expansion franchise needed a space that would serve multiple teams, balance functionality with clean aesthetics, and support their long-term vision for player development and organizational growth.
PLAE collaborated with Charlotte FC to create what was described as a "simple room done savagely well." The team delivered custom turf, flooring, racks, and equipment, partnering with a local artist for hand-airbrushed murals. By carefully listening to soccer-specific coaching needs, PLAE designed a space balancing performance, simplicity, and visual appeal that has impressed visiting coaches across the league.
